Probably the last decent haul from Garden 2025: leaf lettuce and kale. I was doubtful the lettuce would mature before the cold killed it, but I had enough for three full salads!
I already have big plans for 2026, with many lessons learned. ❤️

Yes, these are the same tomatoes as three weeks ago, albeit a slightly smaller pile. As you can see, yes they do ripen off the vine! We’ve already snacked on quite a few. ☺️

A late dahlia and some snapdragon blossoms. In about a week we’ll get our first hard frost, but I’m enjoying these while they last. ☺️

Possible frost tonight, so I picked any remaining tomatoes I had. And I had my first red okra pod too. 😅 I brought in my flowers and basil; probably going to bring in the okra too.

Fall garden update: tomato plants full of green fruit, green beans loving the milder weather, green okra almost done, red okra just started, a bit of late red and green lettuces, and a few last radishes. I think fungus gnats killed my late cucumbers; will need to pretreat soil next year.

I’m attempting to patch/overseed part of the yard next to the driveway. This is about two weeks in, and just applied my second round of seed today.
I’m really new to this, but I’m hoping that getting this going before cold weather will keep it from being a weedy, muddy mess in spring.

Garden update: I still have green beans, bell peppers, tomatoes, and okra going strong. My last couple buckets of potatoes are almost ready. I even have some late lettuce and a singular eggplant fruit. I might even get one last kale harvest in, and maybe two more pickings of basil. ☺️

The weather cooled off a tad, and my green beans have really taken off! My cherry tomatoes are almost done. Okra still going strong. And one odd cucumber lol

My singular pumpkin. ☺️ After the heat wave, it stopped growing and the vine died back. I’m just happy to have one!

My local bloödcheëp has grown back about half his head feathers back… but that mourning dove seems to be giving him incredible side-eye! 😆
