National Public Service, as an alternative to the military, is a fantastic idea. You'd enlist, get training, and you'd serve your country doing things for its citizens. Cleaning waterways, plowing snow, repairing infrastructure like sidewalks and potholes and bridges, assisting in the census, etc

Following my iPhone, ran yesterday, I checked, and there was an update available. It's a brand new update and after installing it all my gripes have disappeared. The native apps on iOS now open quickly without any delay. It's like they were listening, but also it's like they were listening.

Follow up to my rant about the recent iPhone update...
Basic apps like Health, Reminders, and Notes now require access to the cloud. There is no fucking reason why that would ever be necessary. I deliberately do not want information from my phone broadcast to my computer or my tablet.

Fucking Apple. Please remove your head from your ass and separate Sounds and Haptics. This new update sucks ass- I want to adjust my haptic intensity independent of the sound volume. My sound volume changes frequently, while my haptics don't. Revert to the old method, please.

The #72FilmFest is right around the corner and we're ready for it. No actors again this year, so I guess we'll do some more animation this year. We've got a couple good ideas, some new techniques, and folks are coming in from out of town. It's going to be a hoot.
