I left Fox with my plate of Ethiopian while I went to the bathroom and came back to all my collard greens (gomen) being gone. My picky child has never had collards before. But I suppose it helps that they weren’t his.

I know it’s so tough right now, and despair seems natural - but we can’t allow ourselves to give way to defeat and cynicism prematurely. We can’t afford it. And there’s something every single person can be doing from where they are right now to push us forward.

If I ever feel in competition with BW know it’s inorganic. There’s something amiss. Something I need to process and redress because I owe everything to Black women. Any reach goal I’ve made is b/c a sister pushed me. Both the ones I know IRL & online. I hope the times where I fall short of both

If i get into UGA, ima have a hard time deciding. UGA is a T20, rank wise it towers over CUNY. But CUNY is so affordable and a public interest powerhouse in the region. The jobs are there for me, i just need the degree- so idk if rank means as much to me. Plus I don’t wanna leave NYC.

After organizing for 17 years I am thrilled at the prospect of being able to bridge the tensions between field strategies and legal/policy ones as an incoming law student! Excited to tackle stuff from a different lane.

It never left the ground, sister soror! Folks know what happens on social media cuz that’s what’s they see/what’s in proximity. But real grassroots organizing never stopped, it’s just not as glossy and visible.
i think organizing needs to return to the ground. y'all put too much information out in mixed company as it is. not everyone who wants to come to the cookout means well. dylan roof was invited in and he killed everyone there.

People celebratory of, or not saddened by, the CEOs assignation, span the political spectrum. The response is more uniform across class than anything else & that’s terrifying to the wealthy. Their talking heads have been trying to paint this as a ‘leftist’ reaction all week.
