I was about ready to crash out when the Patriots selected a running back with the 38th pick in the NFL draft despite still needing to fill gaping holes at WR and EDGE, but upon reflection I've decided I can live with it.

Initial thoughts from the first round of the NFL draft. But before I begin, I have to make an obligatory comment about Shedeur Sanders. If the Browns and Saints both pass on him tomorrow, he could fall much farther and I have no idea who will take him but whoever does will be getting a steal.

Houston couldn't make a 3 if their life depended on it but their defense is just so impressive. They are completely controlling the pace of this game. I love watching their defensive style!
