What is the general consensus on swirly eyes to illustrate mind control n stuff? Are they universally enjoyed by all or do I need to make it something you can turn off...
(Generally I like providing more options than less, but every toggle is a slight increase in project scope)

The "no place to sell it" fear is justified. Some of my game's success is directly attributed to itch being THE place people search for kinky games, which will likely never be the case again. Who knows what options will or won't be available when you decide to release it
