Well the Blackbirds have finally stripped the pyracantha of all of its berries so it's time to give it a good trim before nesting season begins.

The tops from my large contorted hazel have been repurposed as 'phantom' trees in my garden borders for the wildlife #eastyorkshire

Remember the huge contorted hazel I lightly trimmed last winter well it responded well so the saw came out today to take it down to 1m to encourage more branches from lower down & leaving a few younger branches.
Winter clematis on the wall will be reduced by a third in the spring.

Didn't have any nut crackers so pliers and secateurs worked a treat to get the seeds from the apricot stones only 4 viable seeds so planted them in this pot on my kitchen windowsill nurturing them keys see if any germinate 🤞🤞🤞🤞
