And we wonder why kids are unhappy or feel that life or success is impossible? This dissonance between happiness and success is indicative of how we are educating young people and what expectations we are setting for them. 71% of Gen Z said they expect to be successful, almost all will be let down

Someone who is “board certified” but sells snake oils, acts a charlatan or promotes pseudoscience to prey on people’s insecurities or wants to “give choice” in order to vilify people who want to help young people learn only adds further distrust. Being famous does not make someone qualified.

Trust and expertise comes from research, peer review, science and fact. Misinformation and being willing to look for truth is something I see less and less, making it all the more important.
