I think Amanda Tapping would be extremely patient with me, but would definitely let off a "phooo-weee! that was really somethin'" when she finally got out of earshot.

I haven't watched it in a little while, but my thinking is that they couldn’t dial anywhere at all because the Antarctic gate wasn't the primary gate?

On the Episode of SG1 where they end up in the Arctic, I refuse to believe that Carter wouldn't try other known good addresses. If _nothing_ else she could dial a planet with a warm atmosphere and a known good stargate.

Because I know they discussed it as a possibility for Unending... and I don't not see it, but I struggle to see much sustained passion there at all.

idc what people say or what the writers intended; for stargate sg-1, sam x teal'c and jack x daniel makes SO much more sense than sam x jack and daniel x vala

No-one had a meaty character arc while stuck on that ship, and nothing they gained or learnt seemed earned.
It was sad and disheartening, and all came to nothing in the end anyway.

Oh wait, Stargate SG-1, probably the most insulting finale I've ever seen with some of the worst writing decisions I've come across in terms of how to end a show.

(Personally, I'd advise giving any DeLuise Director commentaries a wiiiide berth on the DVD extras. They did not age well.)

So, while I know a ton of Stargate SG-1 lore, and have met several cast members, I’ve never actually…watched the series? I was deeply obsessed with Atlantis but never bothered with the original.
But yesterday I found a treasure at the used media shop in Erie, and I guess that’s about to change. 😁
