My eldest daughter's school went on "soft lockdown" today, meaning there was a credible enough threat to stay in classrooms and not be in the halls or outside, and to have extra police presence. Junior high is bad enough, and now this...

House Con.Res.14 passed ONLY the House today, for the budget. Doesn't include the "No tax on tips/overtime/etc" stuff. THOSE are in H.R.482 (sent to House Ways & Means committee) and its companion S.129 (sent to Senate Finance committee). No votes on them yet.
