He gave Izzy the medicine and Ed gave him a kiss on the cheek and said goodnight. Izzy fell asleep as soon as his head touched the pillow. He looked so tired and vulnerable.
But both Stede and Ed would do their very best to make sure Izzy would get well again soon.

Things would be okay again. He went out to the kitchen to unpack food and medicine for Izzy. Most of it was soup that was easy to swallow. After putting everything away, he took a glass of water and medicine and went to the guest room.

With his arm around Izzy, Ed led him to the guest room. Stede noticed that the tension in the air had eased with Izzy coming home from the hospital.

When Stede got the phone call that Izzy could come home, he could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Ed had had a hard time sleeping that night, but now Stede hoped that Izzy's presence would calm Ed.

Ed heard a growl. It was the cat Stede found a while ago. The poor thing felt left out so Ed let her crawl inside the bathrobe and now all four are under the covers.

Stede holds Ed because he knows Izzy's sudden collapse scared him. They both know Izzy is in good hands, but also that Ed won't be able to relax until he's home again.
Hopefully tomorrow and then they can give Izzy (with the help of Roach) the care he needs to get better.

Ed doesn't like it and as soon as he and Stede get home he makes the bed in the guest room with fresh bedding so Izzy can rest and sleep without Ed hugging him like a squid.

Izzy collapses one day and after a dramatic trip to the hospital in Stede's car and a tearful Ed, they receive the news that Izzy has come down with an extreme case of the flu. He needs to spend at least one night in the hospital for observation and IV drip because of his high fever.
