I had an amazing experience at Maggie Hambling's War Requiem at the Snape Maltings today...unsettling and powerful and beautiful all at the same time.

From an autistic point of view, so many of us struggle to find and keep a job. For any group who face discrimination and face hurdles to employment, diversity and inclusion is a chance, not a "woke agenda".

Just an autistic girl house sitting, then realising that she left her earphones behind, because despite the silence indoors, it is a different type of silence to the one she is used to...

As an English Jewish woman, whose family have lived in England for generations and loved living here, I am spending Yom Kippur - our holiest day - watching the news of a terrorist attack in a Manchester Synagogue unfold with absolute horror.

Lovely to see my article in the Sylvia Townsend Warner newsletter...from Lolly Willowes to Evie Edelman, talking about female outsiders.

The electrics tripped in my kitchen and sitting room today. So I just took my shortbread-making operation upstairs to my bedroom. Nothing gets between me and biscuits!

Morning Womble! I am enjoying The Magickal Summer of Edie Edelman which is a combination of Sylvia Townsend Warner's Lolly Willowes, neurodivergency, a talking ghost and a small dog called Peggy. Very well written, fun and deep. 💙📚
