SONG OF THE WEEK: I am Not Okay by Jellyroll This one actually started the Song of the Week idea because at the time it expressed what I felt. Life is life-ing even harder now than then, so this one’s appropriate. #musicsky

We applauded the decision James Gunn made of reducing Superman’s origin story down to a five minute on-screen written prologue. As Perry says, it’s one of the 3 origin stories we never need to see again. #dccomics #dcu #superman

The trope in an IP revival where the beloved couple are now estranged but get back together in the end is so overdone.

And I DEMAND they do it again anyway here.

I will fall for it like a cartoon coyote.

We couldn't make this one a non-political review because by definition Superman is a political figure. From inception to the James Gunn movie, Superman's kindness, honesty, and origin has a certain bent. And we discuss it all in our review. Listen or watch here.
