Had the best time chatting with publisher Lisa Kastner of Running Wild about my #writing journey! I love getting to pull back the curtain and share a little of the magic (and chaos) of my writing process. Watch the full interview on YouTube www.youtube.com/live/Lv7TqyJ...

Nice to meet you, but I can’t stay long. My characters have zero respect for boundaries and apparently NEED me immediately. If you see me talking to myself, mind your business. I’m just taking dictation from imaginary people who think they own me. #writerslife

Two books. One wild, messy, beautiful journey. Because sometimes the greatest adventures begin when life refuses to stay comfortable. #BooksWorthReading

Today I’m honoring Dr. Daniel Hale Williams. Born in 1856, he became a pioneering African American surgeon & founded Provident Hospital in Chicago, the first non-segregated hospital in the U.S. He saw the need for better healthcare access for the Black community & created change.

Your voice is one of a kind. The way you see the world, how your moments have shaped you, and the way you choose each word. No one else carries that exact magic. #Monday

Every #writer has a secret weapon, and it’s the playlist!

The right song can unlock a scene, set a mood, or carry you through an entire chapter. Some days it’s soft instrumentals. Other days, it’s true crime or 90s tv shows. IYKYK 😉

Some stories don’t just get read. They spill, seep, and stay with you long after the last page. #writers

Plot holes? Writer’s block? Have you accidentally written yourself into a corner full of snacks and regret? Before you panic and delete an entire chapter, try asking your story better questions. #writing

Nothing wrong with a little manifestation. Seeing it, believing it, and writing my way straight into it. 🖊️

POV: You thought you were in charge until your characters unionized without you. Guess the snitch just volunteered for villain duty. #Writing

Make the art.
Get messy.
Be a little weird.

But always choose progress over perfection and delight yourself first.

Some days it’s inspiration, some days it’s discipline. Either way, the words get written. If you’re waiting for a sign, this is it. BICHOK -> Go #write the thing.

Confession time, writers. Have you ever borrowed a moment, a conversation, or a personality straight from real life and slipped it into your fiction? #writingcommunity

Book lovers and writers, this one’s for you.
If you could sit down with any female character and ask her everything you’ve ever wondered, who would it be? #Book

These are the themes that find me every time I sit down to write. Love, loss, healing, and the quiet spaces in between. I don’t choose them, they choose me. I just give my characters a voice. #writer

There’s no one right way to tell a story. No formulas you have to follow. No boxes you need to fit inside. This is your world, your voice, your imagination. #writing

Red Roses is a celebration of women who show up for each other. The kind of friendships built on late nights, shared secrets, laughter, and loyalty. But don’t worry, there’s a little romance sprinkled throughout the pages. #book

Broken Petals marks the beginning of the journey. It’s the first #book in a 3-book series that explores the beautiful, messy, & heartbreaking complexities of friendship, & loyalty. If you’re new here, this is your sign to start at the beginning and start the conversations.

Time to let the chaotic characters face the consequences of their actions! 😂 I may let them run amuck one day, but it’s my turn the next. #AWritersLife

Happy Friday! Today I say we let the character run wild and see where it takes the story. #writingcommunity

The goal is to write so vividly that the words disappear and the story starts to play like a movie in your mind. When scenes breathe, characters move, and emotions linger long after the page, you know the story is doing its job. That’s the kind of #writing I’m always chasing.
