Can't finish any of my other projects... Some of my books never end up with a plot or ending. I've been wanting to write a magical college. This is my third attempt. I'm hoping for the best.

So, in a writing exercise, I rewrote every word of a novel. It went from 79k down to 69k. I think it's tighter.

I used to work where wild foxes were seen in the parking lot. Best thing about at that call center.

And THEN my jaw hits the floor because it's so early in the series. Just... I don't know. Am I the only one who gets lucky like this? Is it a hidden superpower?

Alright alright alright.
My brain foreshadows and plans things out I don't even know.
I'm rewriting, like every word on page which isn't a part of my normal process. Then I come across a line that foreshadows three book later. I had forgotten about the line. It's a throwaway line. #amwriting

Someone suggested rewriting, like whole clothe rewritting a book. I couldn't do that but I am rewritting a novel about a camp that trains dragon riders, kinda of like Camp Half-Blood for Eragon. #amwriting

Last chapter of my book always gets me crying. Helps with clearing my nose.

For me, it's normally just number 3, but in a broader sense. What is the goal of the scene? Even spicy scenes should have a goal beyond the spice itself. What does the scene demonstrate? What new is added? Is there a change to the dynamics of the characters?

I have read that your character should go into each scene asking these four questions:

1. What does she go into the scene be believing?
2. Why does she believe it?
3. What's her goal in the scene?
4. What does she expect will happen in this scene?

Thoughts?

Love finding moments that I make me excited in my own books.
...."and I'm not a goddess."
"For an afternoon, you are."

That moment when you're editing and you read a passage. Then you read it out loud. Use read along function in Word. Then it all sounds right, but wrong at the same time.

I #amediting and I came across a moment I forgot was in the book. It's a character telling the truth after a month earlier lying about her past. Forgot that it was there. I might be bias, but I love my writing.

I did. I wrote a few other things.

I tell her everything about my books. She's just tired of hearing about people riding dragons. It was meant to get me to write something different altogether. But I'm good at subverting expectations.

Contemporary dragon rider. I like dragon riders as a genre. Wife told me to stop writing fantasy dragon riders.

I'm back in the groove. Wrote 4k words yesterday, and over 1k after work. And I'm not stopping.

Yesterday was super productive, 3500 words.

Last couple of days hitting my word count goal is tough, but hopefully I get to my 3k-5k days again.

Off when reading, on when I'm not. Plus some of that artwork is amazing and I'd hate to ruin it by acident.

1000 a day, but I'm on a first draft.

I got an interesting piece of feedback from a beta reader. It got me thinking, why is it someone in a teaching role turning down a student ( Not his student, but still a student) weirder than them sleeping together?
