Missing Sue Hubbell who chronicled our place in the natural world. Her book, Waiting for Aphrodite, is history as lived by small creatures who have surpassed our existence on the planet by eons. I have read it many times. Miss you Sue. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Waad Al-Kateab's documentary film, "For Sama," is a memoir, a romance, a coming of age story, a war documentary and a story of children born to inherit chaos. It puts humanity on all the faces of nameless refugees. Highly recommend. www.womenforwomen.org/about/our-te...

Great year-end news for those who love Grand Teton Nat'l Park and Wyoming. 640 acres of state land have been preserved and added to the Nat'l Park. So glad that there are still so many people out there who see value in open space.

I can't fathom the bravery of those who make the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf, especially, as in this case, where this woman did not need to do so. Meet Noor Inayat Khan, British spy in WWII.

I don't know how many of you caught Alexi Navalny's diary when it was published. What I read of it was very moving. In his honor, and the honor of all those who unselfishly sacrifice themselves to counter oppression, I post "How can I keep from singing."
