This is such a huge thing that nobody is talking about. As a person who exercises and lifts a lot — as in, every day — I'm constantly aware of the pressure from the outside world to be bigger, leaner, and more muscular. But the truth is that our standards are just absolutely misaligned with reality.

I just made a passing reference to Fred Rogers in a conversation and the person asked me who that was. I sustained serious psychic damage. 🙃

America is awesome because someone will be like, "Hey, my name is Jim 'Kill Everyone Named Todd' Smith, and I'm gonna kill all the Todds," and some dipshit will be like, "He isn't REALLY gonna do it, it's a metaphor," and then a month later go, "Oh my God, he killed my neighbor Todd, WTF???"

It's interesting how the phrase, 'I hope you get to spend your days with people who make you feel exactly how you make others feel around you,' can be both a compliment and an insult depending on who you're sending it to. I can think of people who would fall into both camps, honestly.

I really feel like I’ve been in a rut the last few weeks. I think it’s a combination of the world and the weather but I feel like I can’t just get back into my groove. Something’s gotta give.

It's weird that I find myself agreeing with RFK, too many Americans are on antidepressants. We need to address the root causes of this by fixing income inequality, promoting a healthier work/life balance, making mental health services easier to — wait what do you mean that's not what he meant???

I just saw this photo on an NPR article today and thought it was excellent enough to share on its own. Photo by Stephanie Keith/Bloomberg via Getty Images.

I sincerely love Fiber One’s original bran breakfast cereal. I genuinely think it tastes great, and it’s pretty good for my gut. But I sorta wish that a high fiber cereal would maybe not be shaped like the solid little poops it makes you produce?

Take a half hour and watch this video because in the two months since it was released, it's become horribly prescient. Know what you're up against to know how to resist it.

The instant he heard the helicopter was a Black Hawk, it was inevitably going to be a racist thing.

Just got a phone call where a customer complained that the weather is bad in their Google Street View photo (you know, the photo taken by a car that drives around) and asking what I'm going to do to change the weather in that photo. In case you were wondering how Tuesday is going.

The View From My Desk for January 26th, 2025 — Austin Hudson
The date is January 26th, 2025, and the skies are clear, but the gentle snow flurries that plagued the city all day yesterday have settled onto the roads, making them unexpectedly icy and slick for su...

This is a great article, and the comments give a continued list of art museums to check out. The author is correct -- the one here in Salt Lake has some beautiful art in it.

A 24-hour business trip to Cleveland four days before Christmas was a bad idea; I see that now. There wasn’t even that much snow, by Lake Erie standards, but Delta Airlines didn’t seem to care that I ...

This week has been devastating enough, and then the Brooks Brothers 2025 S/S lookbook drops today and it’s low-key tacky? Can we have nothing good any more?

I’m a regular listener of the Pat Boone Hour on #siriusxm (because I’m 90 years old at heart) and finding out on this week’s show that my fellow listeners are calling themselves the Boone Goons damn near killed me. We out here Boone-in’ and goonin’, fellas.
