Hey all,
Over the past couple years, I've been building something I deeply believe in. A place that's kind, safe, and open. A place that welcomes you just as you are.
But we also heard something else:
Many people saw the name and assumed it was for trans people (85% of people I asked!)

(I tried my best to fix it, but I couldn't without basically rewriting Auride, which is already in the works).
I hope you all understand.
Soon--no more going offline, a stable Auride, and something you will all love using.
For now, this will be our little community.

I would rather you guys wait for a good product that can stand on its own vs. something that is completely broken and can't.

Unfortunately Auride is temporarily unavailable.
I really, really hope to bring Auride back before the end of December or early January 2026, but with the combination of attackers, spaghetti code, bundler issues, and hosting issues--Auride is completely broken.

Auride Issues are now available, making reporting issues to us easier than ever.
All you need is an Auride account and some fingers.
Go to auride.xyz/issues (or click the "Issues" button on your sidebar), click "New Issue", fill out a template, and now your issue is live to help us improve Auride!

- When replying to a note, it would take quite bit of time due to above issue. Now, it should be done within seconds!

We've pushed some changes to how notes render to fix some issues, notably:
- Visiting user profiles would not show any of their notes. If it did, it loaded all of them at once, which was not intended behavior.
- When visiting a /note page, Auride will no longer parse through-

We've pushed some changes to how notes render to fix some issues, notably:

Auride is back online, and storage services should be all okay now.
Please note that we are aware of an issue where older notes will not load their media properly, and we are looking into it. However, profile pictures, banners and new media should work as intended!

Hey all! We’ve updated our Privacy Policy to clarify a couple things:
- All changes take effect immediately when posted
- We may check your country (without storing it) to block certain content when required by local laws (e.g., the UK’s Online Safety Act)

I will be looking into ways to allow NSFW content in the UK again while respecting user privacy—but for now, NSFW will be blocked altogether.
Users in the UK will still be able to see Sensitive and Political content, and change their preferences for those content types.

While this is not a choice I want to make, I need to in order to comply with UK law so you can safely use Auride in the UK without the risk of me getting into legal trouble or outright banned.

On July 28 (or July 29) in order to comply with the new Online Safety Act, Auride will no longer **be allowing users in the UK to access NSFW content** including changing your NSFW preferences.

As times get scarier in certain places and censorship becomes more prevalent — remember that Auride will not censor words that are important and shouldn’t be downplayed.
This includes, “rape”, “kill”, “bomb”, and other words that other popular social media sites will shadowban and censor.
