A shattered skeleton. Gruesome rumors. A brutal history of lynchings. And tight-lipped cops who quickly said "no foul play."

BlueSky could have shared a screenshot of my tweet showing the Oct 10 timestamp and that I was using Johnny Cash lyrics to quote-tweet about an article on Johnny Cash. Instead, they made it look like I issued a random death threat and falsely claimed I posted it this week. They should apologize.

BlueSky is a bad site used by good people. That describes most social media sites. But BlueSky is egregiously unethical. Any of you can be disappeared for baseless reasons. I've been on social media for 17 years and never been suspended. BlueSky is the first place to do so – over Johnny Cash lyrics.

I'm profoundly grateful to BlueSky users who supported me and called for my reinstatement. When I got suspended, I was not told why the first two times I inquired, or that it was for 72 hours. You forced BlueSky to respond and to issue a correction for one of the lies they told about me. Thank you.

Sonomans do not want this.
I hear the Network State had a very rough night at the Cloverdale City Council.

It’s the People of Cloverdale vs The Network State.
Cloverdale, a tiny town in Sonoma County, California, is being invaded by secretive investors who want to build a new "town."

Of course, the backers of "Esmeralda" have very deep ties to the Network State cult and Peter Thiel.

segue~not knocking non-stateside "tech experts" or podcasters (eg paris marx, "tech won't save us" etc) bc they offer a lot~but the typical tropes abt US tech mixed w/broligarch commentary doesn't specifically get or address the scope of Silicon Valley VC culture driving the dependency on fash tech

I suspect they keep some of these Lina Khan era antitrust big tech cases going for the pseudo-populist veneer, then in the remedy phases reveal this is really just about further bullying Silicon Valley brunchlords into authoritarian obedience

These blocs have centralized management in the form of venture capital.

VC is the actual corporation, the startups are different R&D arms, departments, satellites, divisions, outposts, colonies.

What seems to be a thousand things is just one thousand arms of the same thing.

Venture capital again is a MACHINE for producing a giant attack formation made up of hundreds/thousands companies to go to war on existing markets.

The ability to spin out so many companies that are again tied together from day 1 by VC, they are a bloc, there is no internal competition

The goal is to move capital from the target market into venture capital, ideally achieving more efficiency, greater profit, etc., something that is often likely due to the technological edge.

This is the case of crypto, the buildout of weapons companies, biotech, the general AI octopus, education

There are lots of way to think about what venture capital is, but here's one I like:

VC takes in big time cash from their investors ----> VC produces dozens, hundreds, eventually thousands of companies to engage in a seemingly distributed attack on a largely monopolized existing market

As it stands today, the richest man in the world is using one of the largest social media platforms in the world as a Nazi recruitment/brainwashing tool.

He has his tendrils in our government, sucking up public funds and turning around to buy our leaders.

It’s not tenable.

We’re going to have to beef up antitrust laws and end the consumer welfare standard to go after Big Tech.

We’re going to have to impose strict limits on political spending and overhaul the SCOTUS.

It’s not about punishing wealth. It’s that we can either have trillionaires or we can have democracy.

We are going to have to end subsidies for Elon Musk’s companies and probably nationalize SpaceX.

We’re going to have to change the tax code as a safeguard for democracy, and impose punishingly high taxes on Musk and other billionaires.

I’m talking Roosevelt levels. Capital gains counted as income.

This is extremely dangerous.

If you’re a journalist, politician, artist, or public figure, or anyone with a platform, you need to stop using X.

You’re not helping by remaining on the platform. You can say you’re fighting where the people are, but you won’t beat the algorithm.

Lead people off X.
