I've been studying Heidegger for about a month now, and I constantly feel that his ideas are so straightforward that I end up overthinking and complicating them unnecessarily.

I believe the third meaning of the word "Aufhebung" best captures the essence of Hegel's three-step dialectic. It also conveys the sense of "elimination"—to erase something completely.

If language holds meaning, the Dutch phrase "op slag verliefd," loosely translated as love-smitten, reveals love’s more violent, uncontrollable side. Unless we distinguish sudden love from cultivated love, we must admit that simple language fails to resolve such "metaphysical" questions definitively

Love is all and love is everyone" redefined love for me—not just romance, but love for humanity, strangers, surroundings, and self. It’s universal fellowship and positivity, a powerful force. “How does it feel to be one of the beautiful people?” reminds us we’re all beautiful, all connected.
