We’re standing up for trans rights. 🏳️‍⚧️

The Guiding Principles for Trans Inclusion were developed by community, for community. The government threw that away without any consultation. That’s not fair.

Auckland Pride is taking the Government to Court because we don’t think it’s fair the Minister is making decisions without thinking about the rights of our trans, rainbow and takatāpui communities.

Medical decisions should be based on medical expertise and community need, rather than imported misinformation that endangers our most vulnerable young people. We recognise the very real harm and fear that this decision inflicts upon our communities, on a day where we grieve the loss of trans whanau whose legacies we carry forward.
