Frankly at this price point you'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal, apart from well stealing them.

Ha, LDC 1.41 changed the sound of LENS with a diff of -40 dB/RMS. The new sound has worse attack behaviour.
It turns out a CTFE bug between LDC 1.28 and LDC 1.40 changed the sound of the LENS envelopes in an uncontrolled way (mostly extenging timings).

Sure #dlang has compile-time transcendentals, but you depend on it at your own peril...

Bad: New tinnitus in one ear
Good: looks sidechained to real sounds

Before making an overlap-add/save convolver, I wanted to know which convolution algorithm would win depending on block size for a simple N x N convolution.

I hate it when you're in a dream and just ask ChatGPT for solving your dream-specific problem.

Audio Plug-ins are not necessarily standalone programs.
For Auburn Sounds software like with most other audio plugins, you need a so-called Host program to make music, also called Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).

I wonder what proportion of Internet advice is simply listening to people with mythomania.

Working on fast sRGB <-> oklab conversion for a proof of concept VM.

cbrtf, albeit lower-precision and vectorized, is biggest cost.

That programmers talking with LLMs think they are 33% more productive than they are, is no suprise considering all random we do in software, like open space, big teams, daily standups, all things that are demonstrated slowdown.

"All code is a liability not an asset" < this has no theoretical base. You need to push the analysis further to see how wrong it is.

Fun bit-trick in fxaa.c gist.github.com/graphitemast...

Author needs to compute sum of 4 neighbour colors, for 4 pixels at once. ▶️ Erase the last 2 bits for each channel, and make the i32 overflow on the other lane while adding them.

Consequences of using a SnapDragon Windows laptop:
- Web games perform as well as native games, since the browser is optimized and most native apps aren't ported.
- more driver crashes
- stuff is slower that it needs (unlike on Apple) since no big incentive to port.
- long battery life
Overall 6/10

Terrific advice from one who knows how things work <3
Ok, I'm doing a version of this thread for 🧪 who are new to political conditions where info security is a safety issue:

1. Don't make public lists of people who are engaging in acts of resistance
2. Be weary of calls to advertise acts of subversion
3. Don't live post resistance meetings
This is my “daughter of a Black Panther breakfast program volunteer” coming out but anyone who tells you that you have to be public about all your resistance activity should immediately be under suspicion for being an op, or being under the influence of an op

numem, the no-GC dlang memory management library I develop, started becoming too much of a giant standard library. As such I decided yesterday to split it up in 3.

numem is just memory management related.
nucore will be the standard library.
nurt will be the new home of the d runtime replacement
