That's a wrap folks! It feels like we're just getting started, but the festival is over for another year. Never fear though, plans are already afoot for 2026. Thank you again to all our speakers, sponsors, volunteers and attendees. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

Tonight is the final event of this year’s festival and we couldn’t be more excited! Our 2025 Peagram Lecture is titled Einstein, Bohr and John Bell: Entanglement, Hidden Variables and Quantum Computers and comes from Professor Tony Hey CBE.

Tonight we’ll be back at the Amey Theatre for the penultimate talk of this year’s festival and we'll be learning about The Whale-Human Interface from Mark Simmonds OBE. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. We hope to see you there!

Well done again to all the speakers at FameLab Academy last night. It's a shame we could only crown one winner when you all did such an excellent job - everyone can be very proud of what they achieved!

This evening we'll be crowning the FameLab Academy regional winner for 2025. No tickets required for this free event, so please come along to cheer these science communicators of the future! Doors open at 7pm and presentations begin at 7:30.

It’s now less than a week until we kick off ATOM Festival 2025 with our free Science Market on 15th March! On the same day Abingdon Museum will be hosting the Oxfordshire Geology Trust for their Fossil and Mineral Day.

This year will see the welcome return of the FameLab Academy Oxfordshire Finals to the ATOM Festival. Come along to the Amey Theatre on Monday 24th March to witness these science communicators of the future in action! Entry to this event is free, so we hope to see you there!

Our first talk of the 2025 ATOM Festival will be ‘Brainjacking: the Science of Influence and Manipulation’ with @brianclegg.bsky.social on Sunday 16th March. In this talk we’ll explore the psychology of storytelling and how stories can be used to inform, influence and manipulate.
