Excited to share that the latest paper of my PhD is now published in JGR-Atmospheres! It examines multiple stratosphere-troposphere exchange processes in tropical cyclones using an idealized simulation!

Examining Stratosphere‐Troposphere Exchange in an Idealized Simulation of a Tropical Cyclone
Stratospheric hydration occurs throughout the cyclone lifecycle, primarily from overshooting eyewall convection and during intensification Water vapor is enhanced at higher altitudes in the strat...

Our study producing a 14-year climatology of U.S. supercell storms is now available in EOR at JAMC: doi.org/10.1175/JAMC.... Its got left-movers, right-movers, severity & lifecycle analysis, and more. A challenging project, but somewhat of a culmination of years' effort for me. Happy reading!

Another year, another set of meteorology students who have built, wired, and coded thier own weather stations. Very proud of my entire class. Well done.

All NWS services: data, forecasts, radar, satellite, IT infrastructure, costs each American taxpayer $4/yr. Less than a latte. And each person gets back 73 x $4 = $292 a year in value for that service.
I think that’s a pretty good deal.

Hello Bluesky world! Feels odd starting over, but I miss my science feed. Will take a while to get spinning and build my follows, but I'll start sharing soon. 🤓
