The gap between "messy design thinking" and "structured AI prompts" has always bugged me.

So I built something: map your flow visually, AI processes the spatial context, generates specs for your favorite AI builder.

Sticky notes → working app.

Working on updating some analytics card patterns so you can talk to it inline and playing around with some new styles today.

Designing dashboard card states for property managers. Quickly scan compliance metrics to identify issues.

I had trend arrows on each, but felt they added visual clutter. The +/- already shows direction, so I removed them.

Testing a pattern for agentic dashboards. instead of chat, surface optimizations that trigger focused agents.

Property operators don't want to chat about their portfolio. They want 'Phoenix maintenance costs up 15%, want me to fix it?'

Curious what patterns you've been trying?

I have so much basil in my garden that it's now starting to spread outside of the containers like weeds.

Testing a game as text before committing to 2D/3D, updating my site, AND building GitHub + Linear MCP for mkr.cards.

This is either:
a) parallel-track building
b) procrastination
c) how everyone works.

Choosing (a) but it's probably (c).

10/10 would do again.

Just got back from Germany and turned my vacation photos into an interactive gallery in about an hour.

Here's the full process: supercut.ai/share/alan-t...

AI coding tools can't see where you're going without context.

Show them the map:
□ → □ → □ → □

Not just "add user accounts"

They need to see how everything connects.

Think spatially. Build systematically.

*6 iterations later*
me: "ok this card shadow is CRITICAL"

So I got user accounts and Stripe finally working.
CORS: lol no.

Remember copying text from PDFs and getting this mess?

"This is some text
with terrible
formatting everywhere"

I got tired of manually fixing it, so I built LineBreaker.io. The enemies of clean formatting... WILL KNOW DEFEAT!

Recreated a Braun TP1 record player in Figma (minus the strap and a few details... vector coming soon).
Built open and closed states, dropped in Trompe Le Monde by the Pixies, and wired it up in Lovable with the Spotify SDK.
Flip the switch, it plays.

(warning: kinda loud)

If you're like me and are trying to study and inspect the new Liquid Glass effect, I've built a small utility app for you!

Test Liquid Glass with all the different options, tinting, sizes, and backgrounds — only for macOS Tahoe for obvious reasons.

Can language generate UI with intent?

I recently built Verbal. An open source prototype that turns a word into a moodboard: color, type, shape, sound.

Testing how prompt logic and semantics can shape interface design.

Using AI still feels like guessing commands in old text-based games.

I wrote about how AI interfaces might evolve, from chatboxes to spatial canvases, ambient systems, and adaptive docs.

Give it a read and curious what you are building in this space:
