Just finished reading Greenteeth, by @mollyoneillwrites.bsky.social

This is an utterly charming, cozy, quest fantasy. It's full of mythical creatures, magic, and friendship.
5⭐️ a wonderful debut. I hope there's more coming from this author soon.

I finished Ruin, by John Gwynne this weekend. I feel it was aptly named, as it ruined my emotions a few times.
Lost 1 star for excessive harm and death of animals (boo!) Lost half a star for the cliffhanger for a total of 3.5⭐️

Still very excited to read the next one.

Not-so-fun fact: there has been a plasma shortage since pre-covid times. Please donate if you are able!

I finished Motheater by @lincodega.bsky.social yesterday. I'd give it a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed the author's descriptive prose, I'd likely buy any travel guide, if they wrote it. The love story did feel a bit forced/rushed, but believable based on their histories of trauma.

#Booksky #Minneapolis For local folks and beyond (there’s streaming tix too) Phoenix Theater in Uptown is currently hosting an adaptation of Patricia Wrede’s “Dealing with Dragons” with dragon puppets and a delightful story.

Section 31 is awful, but Michelle Yeoh's acting is fantastic. I usually enjoy redemption arcs, but the plot of this one just felt wrong.

Yearly reminder to get your meat checked!

Mammogram, prostate exam, pap smear, testicle check, lipids, a1c, and vaccines.
Whatever applies to you, get it checked, diseases are much easier to treat when found early.

Happy MLK Jr. Day, my friends. In 1968, Dr. King spoke the following words, which are equally true today:

"The nation is sick. Trouble is in the land; confusion all around.... But I know, somehow, that only when it is dark enough, can you see the stars."

We must find & feed the points of light.

I'm watching A Killer Paradox on Netflix. I can see why it's got a 100% rating on the roddy-t's.
