Looking at their financials, mobile is down significantly to about 35% in revenue and 25% in Operating Income from 2 years ago. OI is up from last year but they clearly wrote down a bunch of in process titles and ended a ton of ongoing games.

Damn, I'm like 30 from the bottom. Does 2026 hate August or something

Guessing the license ran out of it so they chose another J-pop hit to cover.

My condolences.

How did Little Nightmares 3 compare to its predecessors?

I'm guessing he deadnamed Rebecca Heineman in a tribute for her.

I'm pretty sure the thing she's in the news this time is because her new movie bombed. It's like a boxing movie where she plays some famous female boxer.

Basically looks like they are trying to make the backgrounds look realistic for some reason. Like I get a bit of 428 vibes from the new one.

Square Enix wasn't alone too. Bandai Namco mentioned they canceled a few too. It looked like a bunch of Japanese publishers tightened their belts last year

That's every game on the list though. Like maybe Clair Obscur was longer but that's more because no one heard of the game before launch so it was like happening each week.

It's more that Walmart just forgets about the small stock numbers remaining. It doesn't go down in price since Nintendo doesn't do buybacks so, there's nothing to encourage price cuts after the year after launch. And since games don't take a huge amount of space, it gets left on the shelf

From what I understand, it was a complete reboot of the project by Retro, from their own pitch after showing a remaster project for the original trilogy. I assume someone has the story of the Bandai Namco version, they are just waiting for the game to come out.

It's not just the JP version, the Pokedex in English lists Arcanine as the Legendary Pokemon too.

That's sort of a myth. Your brain continues to develop past that. Like if we base it on full brain development, it's when our hormones start failing. 18 is a fine standard as long as there isn't a big age gap if we are talking relationships.

China and Korea really eat those mobile MMOs up. They are usually dead in like in 2 years but for that first year, they are huge.

Finally got the Nuzlocke achievement the other day. It's a real struggle when you don't get access to those egg moves but, your opponents do.

I think that's just Illumination. Illumination is the animation studio that saw Toy Story and Shrek and just ran with that model.

It's a roguelike that's been developed over the past couple years with the PC version.

Hey now. How will we know when we can put these games on our steam wishlist if we don't watch the livestream?

I heard that Heaven Burns Red was getting a new mode but I didn't realize it was basically going to be a mini-JRPG on its own.

I think what they really mean is that they curated games from Asia that the Western audience will probably like.

The DQVII remake is supposed to be shortened in some fashion (I think it was turning it into chapters) so it shouldn't be that bad

Sounds like Borderlands 4 had a similar situation as Monster Hunter Wilds where a strong launch is sabotaged by technical issues and killed the long tail.
