OJO Obrero (ojonc.org) is now available. This website features information about confirmed ICE operations in our state to help parents and workers get to school and work safely. OJO Obrero only features sightings that we can confirm involve federal agents, rather than crowdsourced reports

With ICE these days beating and arresting anyone who's brown, (citizen or not) several Charlotte businesses CLOSED Saturday, to protect customers & employees.

One store is offering free delivery for immigrants afraid to go out.

Why is Stephen Miller calling it Charlotte’s web? How condescending & ugly to do a racist Gestapo operation that is based on a loving childhood classic story.

I am Charlotte. All Americans are Charlotte and we will all protect innocents from harassment, abuse & deportation without due process.

Charlotte:

-Connect with your neighbors

-form whistle brigades

-be ready to film

-ICE vs CBP, they behave differently

-Tear gas/pepper balls can be deployed anywhere, at any time

-if you are low risk, be out and about

-it'll get worse, y'all can handle it

-ask Chicagoans for advice

“When the 8 African American sheriffs took over the largest counties in North Carolina, it became a threat to the good ol’ boy system,” says the sheriff of Charlotte. These new sheriffs broke ties with ICE.

But GOP lawmakers cracked down this week, overbidding the governor’s veto to adopt this law:
North Carolina GOP Is Cracking Down on the Black Sheriffs Who Stood Up to ICE
Boosted by new supermajorities, Republicans are closing in on legislation to mandate more collaboration with ICE and preempt local policies hard-won by immigrants’ rights advocates.

During the Revolutionary War, Charlotte became known as a "Hornets' nest of rebellion" for resisting British General Cornwallis' attempts to occupy the city, forcing him to retreat. The NBA's Charlotte Hornets get their nickname from our history. I hope we live up to it against ICE/CBP. #CLT #ncpol
