hey can anyone tell me when and why people started saying 'learnings' instead of just lessons or insights because I would just like to have a little word outside with whomsoever is responsible 😊

something tells me they can't 'long COVID is in their heads' their way out of this one forever

it's not going away

we should have never stopped masking

so odd how a "seasonal" virus, as it's now referred as, makes people sick all year long.

It's Spring. The season is spring.

If it was seasonal it'd be making less ppl sick. But all they did is stop counting

my latest tool in fighting mcas: an upholstery cleaner to suck all the dust out of everything on my house that can't be wiped down. it wasn't too expensive & should arrive Saturday. the reviews are great I cannot wait to use the thing 🙏

I want to believe this but it feels like an accounting trick, aren't we buying more stuff than ever before? And where are the emissions logged for that? Do emissions from military activity ever get accounted for in these things?

I am having the wildest dreams lately. Our brains are truly amazing. When I'm awake it can barely recall 3 items on my to do list but while asleep it can construct & sustain vast complex realities? How does that work

I read somewhere that the average person spends two hours a day on social media. and I was like, two hours? amateurs 😬😫😭

I started out writing a shopping list, but my ADHD took over, and now I'm researching the history of the stapler. But I guess you never know when that might come in handy at the grocery store 😭

i hate to admit it but cozy & medicated is such a vibe

i was going to clean my room, but then I decided to alphabetize my spice rack. & then spent three hours Googling why spices are alphabetized in the first place. ADHD is a true innovator in the field of procrastination

I'm addicted to social media, but it's not like regular addiction—it's more like when you buy one of those 1,000-piece puzzles and you can't stop until it's done, but the pieces are constantly updating and your mom is liking every photo from 2006. anyone else?

Anyone know any good 'general' Discord servers that wouldn't mine me joining? Maybe ones with an emphasis on food and community?

chronic illness is like a tedious party guest who refuses to leave. At some point, you just resign yourself to being a gracious host and pouring another round of medication 😔💅

I can tell when it's going to rain because my joints send me a memo ☔️ #chronicillness

a funny thing about being in this #mcas flare is that due to my face shape, when it swell up say 10% I look a bit younger than usual, so I keep getting compliments 😆 if only they knew the full extent of what's going on
May 7, 2024 at 1:22 PM
not to be vain but just noticed my swollen #mcas face has given me downwards pointing eyelashes, they normally curl upwards 😤

chronic illness is like having a part-time job that pays nothing and never lets you take a day off. I'm constantly exhausted, but I have to keep showing up 🙃

free business idea: psych diagnoses you by analysing your social media output, thus saving both the time and pain of an in person assesment

anyone else feel stressed & confused when they wake up till they remember coffee exists, then are all kinds of happy, excited & relieved 🙃 or is it just me? I really can't deal with ADHD meds so coffee is everything

sorry to be basic but lying down in bed after a long day has to be one of the top 10 feelings. especially if you've been achy
