Addendum to previous post: a friend explained to me #digimon stands for "digging monsters". I guess they do dig a lot in Tamers which I am watching for the first time. Sorry for asking such a silly question!

I love Digimon, but I don't get the name. Like the -mon part is monster, I get that. But the digi- part is never explained anywhere. Missed opportunity. #digimon
