CA will always stand up for #ReproductiveFreedom.

In the face of attacks on abortion access nationwide, we remain committed to the principles of Roe v. Wade—bodily autonomy & the right to make personal health care decisions.

In CA, reproductive freedom is here to stay.

Honored to speak at this morning’s march to honor the memories of #RenéeGood and #KeithPorterJr. — two lives tragically lost in confrontations involving ICE agents.

This is not normal.
This is not acceptable.

And we must never accept injustice
as the cost of order.

Proud to introduce #AB1609, my bill to make sure Californians can reach a real person when they need help.

Sponsored by CWA District 9, this bill ensures access to human customer service within 5 minutes during business hours—because when minutes matter, access to a #RealHuman is critical.

On Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor his legacy through action, not just words.

As Dr. King reminded us, “True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.”

Today is a call to serve, uplift our communities, and recommit to justice and compassion.

The arson attack at Beth Israel Congregation is a gut-wrenching reminder that antisemitism remains a clear and present danger across our nation. My heart goes out to Rabbi Russell, the congregants of Beth Israel, and the entire Jackson community.

One year ago today began the Eaton & Palisades fires, which destroyed homes, forced evacuations, and claimed 31 lives across SoCal.

Today, we remember those we lost and thank the firefighters, first responders, and all who stepped up when it mattered most.

Honored to receive a 100% Legislative Scorecard from #JPAC, which worked tirelessly to help pass #AB715 — a bill I proudly authored with @dawnaddis.bsky.social.

Standing up to antisemitism & protecting Jewish students will always be part of my work. Grateful for JPAC’s partnership & leadership.

Please see my statement here on the heroic actions of Ahmed al Ahmed, who risked his life to save others during a deadly antisemitic attack targeting the Jewish community in Sydney, Australia.

My heart is broken for the families and communities in Sydney after the horrific attack that took the lives of at least 11 people celebrating Hanukkah. Please see my statement here as we mourn the victims, stand with the Jewish community, and condemn this senseless act of hate.

Proud to chair the CA Rare Disease Caucus Winter Roundtable at Takeda in LA, bringing together patient advocates & researchers to better support Californians living with rare diseases.

Too many families still struggle to get care they need.

I'm grateful to all who shared their stories.

Today we mourn the passing of Frank Gehry, who called the 51st District home for nearly half a century.

From his groundbreaking Santa Monica home to the iconic global landmarks that reshaped architecture, his vision transformed how we experience the world.

What a legacy. #FrankGehry #AD51

This antisemitic hatred must be condemned! Protesters disrupted an event at Wilshire Blvd Temple, hurling epithets and vandalizing this historic synagogue. No group should face this hate. My heart is with the Jewish community. You are not alone. We will fight this hate together.

On #WorldAIDSDay, we remember the friends & loved ones we lost—and the community that refused to give up.

This day is personal for me. I came of age during the AIDS crisis, and those memories still guide my work for justice, dignity & health care for all.

We keep going until we #EndAIDS.
