California State Assemblymember | District 13 (Stockton, Tracy, Mountain House)
No family should ever lose a child like this. What happened in Stockton is not who we are. It is something that happened to our community, and we will surround these families with love, prayer, and support. Praying for peace, for comfort, and for the strength our community needs in the days ahead.

California’s economy thrives when local jobs are protected and sustainable industries are supported. I’m proud to highlight the signing of AB 899, the bill I authored to support our state’s bottle manufacturers, safeguard 1,000 Valley jobs, and strengthen our industry against tariffs🍷💪

@asmransom.bsky.social & Assemblymember Quirk-Silva had the same idea as me - wearing Assembly Floor Green! We have just a few days left until the last day of session, the last day of the legislative year to pass bills! Counting down the days until I am back in the district for the fall!

The Honeybee Healthplan has officially passed the Legislature and is now headed to the Governor’s desk for consideration.

Bees may be small, but they are the backbone of California’s agriculture and economy. We must protect our pollinators!

Too many residents spend hours commuting just to stay afloat.

By building more housing near where people actually work, we improve affordability and increase overall quality of life.

California families deserve to spend more time together, not stuck in traffic. 🏡

From ICE raids to efforts to cut off Medi-Cal and food assistance, the attacks keep coming … and now they are putting immigrant children’s education at risk.

Impacted programs include support for English Language Learners (ELLs), after-school programs, adult literacy, and teacher training.

After laying off thousands of federal employees, violating people’s rights, and deporting innocent, hardworking individuals - now this.
July 3, 2025 at 10:59 PM
We are seeing “agents” in masks and tactical gear, driving unmarked vehicles, detaining individuals without presenting identification or any clear agency affiliation. Who are these people? Are they truly ICE agents? My colleagues and I reached out to the Department of Homeland security and ICE.

Heartbreaking. First responders put their lives on the line for our safety. We must protect them.

Sending my condolences to Idaho’s firefighting community, the victims, and their families.
A gunman intentionally started a fire and then ambushed responding firefighters, killing two, in a prolonged attack over several hours Sunday in a mountainous area of northern Idaho, authorities said.

Trump’s unauthorized strikes on Iran are reckless and unconstitutional. We need diplomacy - not a rush to war. Congress needs to intervene before it’s too late. #Trump #Iran

JUST IN: I have partnered with Restore the Delta to launch an official audit of the CA Dept. of Water Resources and the Delta Conveyance Project.

There are serious concerns that hundreds of millions of $$ are being withheld- money that could be helping struggling ratepayers. 😤

Our Delta is not for sale- PERIOD. This proposal is expensive and harmful to families, businesses, farmers, and tribes not only in the communities of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, but also to those across the state who rely on the Delta’s resources.

Had a great meeting with San Joaquin County Child Abuse Prevention Council and CASA to talk through AB 741- a bill I’m proud to be moving forward, now headed to the Senate. This bill closes a loophole that protects our foster youth from child abusers. leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTe...

Proud to see the very first bill I introduced, AB 13, mentioned in the @latimes.com. Reforming the CPUC's makeup is about equity, accountability, and putting ratepayers first. Representation matters. #CALeg

HUGE win for taxpayers tired of outrageous rate hikes! We’re one step closer to real relief. AB 13 passed the Utilities and Energy Committee and enjoys no opposition✅ Let’s keep the momentum going!
