The tragedy of Rob and Michelle’s deaths are incomprehensible.

I’m hearing Rob’s voice telling us all to do more, to repair the human soul, to repair our hearts, to repair our country, to repair our world, to keep fighting, to keep living for every soul taken from this earth.

This weekend was full of horrific violence against innocent people--mostly students people whose names the world didn't know, but whose lives were just beginning. The injured will carry the weight of it, even if fully recovered, forever. Rob & Michele Reiner put love out there are gone in a moment.

Frank and Jane. Rescued feral/community cat siblings who were hand raised with bottles and kitten replacement formula, now kitten foods. These best friends are ours. We live on a feral/community cat pathway. I knew their grandmother, Luna, their mom, Lizzy & dad, Tom. TNVR outdoor cats in progress.

The way I look at this.
The clear takeaway from today is that Donald Trump is not unstoppable and you are not powerless.

The best piece on media, corporate & political interference that goes directly from Nixon’s political campaign to today's corporate media. Pay attention to how manipulative each media outlet is & how it not only predicts voter concerns but feeds them there.

Pay attention to the leaked Bondi Report. It makes the McCarthy era look like child's play and is far more a kin to Germany's Nazi fascist regime.

This is wrong. This is authoritarian behavior. We are very deeply in it.

I look forward to the day when I don't look at what happened in our government between the last time I looked the day before. We weathered a smaller version of this with Trump's 1st term. This is so much worse.

Despite the current president's tweets... Tariffs are not essential to our National Security. They hurt Americans. Every country who even bothers to do business with us anymore passes increases on to consumers/manufacturers. All costs are ours. Even Regan knew that tariffs were to be used lightly.

Trump's newly released 2025 National Security Policy is the nail in the coffin for our place in this world at a critical moment in history. Read on. This is the best summary which covers historical context as well as the meaning for today.

Not spoken about enough right now: Pete Hegseth was never qualified for his DOD job. He was picked to not question orders, and not to know to. Trump and his Administration is going to blame Adm. Bradley fully as if he acted alone when obviously this plan and orders came from above Hegseth.

Kleptocracy. Learn what it is. We are thigh deep in it with Russia, among others, at the expense of Ukraine and our country and elsewhere around the world. It's corruption at the worst level. open.substack.com/pub/heatherc...

Trump is saying (again) that everyone is getting $2000 from the government based on tariffs. First, the check is in the mail... We'll believe it when we see it.
Secondly, we have paid out more than this in price hikes since January.

The White House needs to stop acting like Russia in regards to many things but let's just talk free press. Currently the WH site is spreading disinformation and discrediting news outlets for reporting. The free press is the greatest power besides our votes.

Don't stop reporting facts.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Remember when turkey was somewhere around $0.50/pound and quite a deal especially if you make turkey stock with the bones and several meals out of it? It was 3x more expensive for the basic store brand. Didn't taste 3x better. We'll still use it all well.
