Can anyone uptown in the box or if you’ve attempted to get in the box today know - if you take the interstate, is Tchoup open to Louisiana?

My son’s prek class apparently made a dog house today in art class for Scrim. I believe it, the state of his shirt confirms there was definitely painting. I think I need to ask the art teacher for pictures!

Despite growing up here, I’m not a costume person. I’m just not good at coming up with ideas! My hubby really wants to add items to our costume box so we have more to pick from for Mardi Gras. What are your must-have accessories? Easy costume ideas for families? #MardiGras

Yesterday was our wedding anniversary. Last night we went to a fantastic dinner. We asked one of the servers to take our picture. Went to look at the photos today and it’s not there. He didn’t take any! We forgot to check. I’m so disappointed-we look so good all dressed up. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I hosted my board of directors yesterday at my house. No agenda, just an old fashioned schmooze. Zoom meetings have transformed our way of connecting and I truly feel we all want real connection. This will be the first of many gatherings! #Leadership

Super Bowl LIX Legacy Program, Impact 59, has generously awarded JFS a grant for this program. Our Executive Director, Roselle Ungar, represented us this week at SB events and was interviewed yesterday. Thanks WVUE FOX 8! www.fox8live.com/2025/02/06/n... (2/2)

One of the programs I’m most excited and proud to talk about as President of Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans is Teen Life Counts. TLC is a free, school-based suicide prevention and education program for middle and high school students in the Greater New Orleans area. (1/2)

Day 10. Water main break/leak outside our house. Another 4-5 weeks before it’ll be fixed. Do better New Orleans.
February 4, 2025 at 3:20 AM
We are going to start seeing more of this unfortunately. Be prepared to help non-profits in a more significant way. Just heartbreaking.
NEW: The board president of a small WV nonprofit says they haven't received their HHS funding since the Trump/Musk budget freeze. They had to lay off 3 of 5 employees on Friday. An 86-yr-old woman is counting on them to take her dialysis tomorrow. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Wow. The PJs on Maple Street is closing. I’ve been going there for as long as I can remember. It’s been a huge draw to Maple Street and a great place to meet friends.

Submitted a request online and sent an additional email to SWB about the gusher outside of our house. The response: 4-6 WEEKS to fix. How can our city let things crumble right in front of our eyes?!

First board meeting as President of a non-profit in the books! Had to pivot to zoom because of sneaux. Excited for what we can accomplish during my term!

Scenes from 2 grocery stores tonight. Good luck finding chicken, ground meat, onions, marshmallows or bananas. We better get sneaux!!! #neworleans

Somehow my iPhone contacts have been duplicated and I have so many I want to get off my phone. Is there an easier way to edit contacts besides on your phone? How do you export to excel? #iphone

You know that moment in a prek holiday concert when a child decides to dance, conduct the orchestra and be the one making everyone giggle…yeah. It’s funny until it’s your kid and then you’re absolutely horrified! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Feeling very humbled and excited this week. I was elected president of an organization I’ve served on the board of for quite some time. We do good things. We help the community. Can’t wait to get started! ❤️

I submitted a report to parks and parkways months ago about a precarious and dangerous limb on our oak tree. It was hanging over the sidewalk and was falling off in small sections. I never heard back and had it privately taken care of weeks ago. Guess who showed up today?! Because of course.

What was your favorite audiobook you listened to this year? I spend a lot of time driving to/from school/carpool and I love a good listen. My favorite two this year were Ina Garten’s “Be Ready When the Luck Happens:A Memoir.” And “Daughter of the Moon Goddess” by Sue Lynn Tan.

Who has “reinvented” themselves post-baby?! Where did you start? I realize I need to do something for me. Not sure I want to go back to photography full-time but I’m craving creativity. What sparked your passion?! Classes? Volunteering?

What’s your favorite New Orleans holiday music? I made a big playlist of Chanukah and Christmas music for our son and I’m enjoying Kermit’s “Have a Crazy Cool Christmas.” What else should we add?!
