Didn't do much birding on my 6 days off. Recently I've been struggling to find the mood to do a lot of things, but today I mustered up to do some craft. So this is my third attempt with needle felting, I think it turned out well 🪶

Lodmoor was relatively quiet yesterday but the marsh harriers were being quite active. Sad I finally got there first time in weeks and not a single golden plover that day @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

Has a cane, good singing voice, from new Orleans, voodoo style, shadow friends (on the other side), are we sure alastor and facilier aren't cousins @vivziepop.bsky.social Though it's funny as Keith D voices Facilier, maybe that's why Alastor won him into submission

Nice pair of avocets at lodmoor this am. Decided to touch down at the back pools @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social and a few great white egrets present

One of the problems of holes bay. Noticed up on the high water mark on shore just so many micro plastic beads. Where they've come from? Can't be good for the birds if many more are in the muds @harbourbirds.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social

Went blandford this am. Saw an otter and then 4 kingfishers being very scrappy with each other and a female goosander by herself. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social but feeling a bit blah so now I'm window bird watching at home, still hoping for a brambling. @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social 🪶

Best scrimping tree at swineham, apples are small but so sweet and such a great crunch, still good apples on it. Great for a walking snack
