I made another owl pendant since so many of you were bummed you missed the one I made a couple weeks ago! This piece is made with dendritic opal & citrine wrapped in oxidized copper wire. I think this combination creates a magical winter woodland scene. ❄️🦉💛

Hey #ArtAdventCalendar! Today’s post is a watercolor landscape I painted early in my art journey. I love how cheerful it is! I painted the flowers by starting with a pink layer and twirling my brush over it with some red. I was shocked how well that worked!

This is a horizontal watercolor landscape painting. At the top of the painting a bright blue sky is cut through by wispy clouds. Mountains filled with subtle grays, blues, and purples reach just to the base of the clouds. A line of pine trees sit below the base of the mountains. The trees are far in the distance, so they’ve been painted with blues and greens that weave in and out of each other. A bright yellow and green field rests below the trees and reaches all the way to the bottom of the painting. Pink flowers are speckled throughout the field. The distant flowers are simple pink specks while those closest to the viewer have darker petal details that form circles around the flowers center.

Back to County Cork for another painting. "Clonakilty, Pearse Street" is another street I've cycled down quite a few times. I painted it 5 years ago and, given how many more angles I'd like to paint in this wonderful town, I'm overdue another visit. #SpeirGorm #ArtAdventCalendar
