Today, I embody the flying pig. Fully understanding that the words never and impossible were created by people who were threatened by the imagination of others. Those words were never truth but a devise of oppression and control.

Started my day with a portrait study. Another reminder that the more I see, the less I know. Our human perception has been so degraded and influenced by the needs and wants of others that we no longer can see our own truth. And certainly not the beauty that it holds.

My red ballon series celebrates every unique perspective and experience and how beautiful it is to have such variety. I hope someday humans will see the value in each other. Much love ❤️ 60 done, 39 to go.

"My Mothers Rebellion'
I painted this in 2005. It is a likeness of a younger version of my mother, with her bright red lipstick singing in the church choir. It is a story of her one rebellion. It doesn't seem like much by todays standards, but in 1955, wearing red lipstick could have consequences.
