Okay, so finished up the first leg of my Complete Hal Jordan Experience, having finished 224 issues of Green Lantern! Now before I jump into the next volume of GL, I’ve got a bunch of spinoffs, tie-ins and miniseries to read!

I’ve done it! The first leg of my journey through the history of Valiant Comics is over! I’ve read all the books from the original era of ‘91-‘96! Some surprisingly good stuff in there, despite most of the books fizzling out at the end.
Now onto the Acclaim Entertainment era of ‘97-‘99!

This movie is PERFECTION. Buddy action from the director of Blue Beetle, written by the creator of Warrior, produced by Matt Reeves. This should have gone to theaters. Hits all the right notes for modern Lethal Weapon vibes. Very early favorite for 2026!

In my Valiant deep-dive, I finished X-O Manowar today. Which answers the question “What if Conan the Barbarian got Iron Man armor?” Not bad, though like the other 90’s Valiant books I’ve read so far, falls apart at the end.
