I’ve heard a lot in the past weeks “if you legalise assisted dying, palliative care improves”.

As though one automatically follows the other.

This is, frankly, ridiculous.

If we want to improve palliative care, if we want to provide true choice, we need to invest in it.

If they sincerely care about dying people, surely now they will publicly & urgently commit to properly funding our threadbare, neglected palliative care?
