Nice. Greenland goes with French Eutelsat rather than Starlink for its satellite-based internet connectivity.

(“ditches Starlink” seems a bit exaggerated as apparently they build on an existing Eutelsat coop)

Thanks to RFE/RL for the interview on Chinese space intelligence support to the Russian military in Ukraine. Details are scant but I hope it's useful context for thinking about the mundanity (but probably valuable) ISR support the Russians are getting from the Chinese. w/ @julianasuess.bsky.social
Are China's Spy Satellites A Lifeline For Russia's Struggling Space Intelligence?
The Kremlin has denied that China is providing it with battlefield information, saying it has its own satellites. But experts suggest that, in fact, Russia has a dire need for Chinese assistance.

Space no longer feels like the era of “peaceful uses.”

At UNIDIR’s #OS25 we tackled lunar risks, commercial pressures, youth voices, and unpredictability in orbit.

I’m still holding onto optimism. Diplomacy can move us forward.

Penned down my thoughts on the UK Space Agency reorganisation and how it ultimately doesn’t matter whilst top level political leadership at UK Government (Con and Lab) is largely absent and there’s no real overarching strategic direction. BBC News headline was misleading, caused a bit of mayhem!
The UK Space Agency has been absorbed into the science department. The potential effects are still unclear
The agency has been the subject of some criticism and some aspects of the new arrangement could be positive.
