Former ambassador to 🇮🇱 and 🇩🇪 and foreign policy adviser to Gordon Brown, Simon McDonald published “Leadership: Lessons from a Life in Diplomacy”. There he argued that 🇬🇧 should look with a colder eye at its expensive Overseas Territories, offering them independence.

🇬🇧 should listen to his advice.

Today, on behalf of the Consular Corps of British Columbia, I had the privilege to attend the Swearing-In Ceremony for B.C. Premier and Cabinet Ministers.

Lieutenant Governor Janet Austin presided over the swearing-in of Premier David Eby and his new executive council.
