Given the efforts to rip apart the federal government, defund research and social programs, attack universities, and seize private tax and health information, why aren't there A LOT more demonstrations/protest marches? Especially demonstrations by students and adults under 40? Where is everyone?

A whole generation of early career scientists and physician-scientists, including colleagues and myself, are particularly vulnerable to these funding freezes and cuts, with jobs and careers depending on federal grants.
