Parents are afraid to send their kids to school, classrooms sit half-empty, children are being taken to detention facilities. We’ve crossed a line.

I stood with education leaders to discuss the growing harm federal actions are causing to children, families, and our schools.

Of course the PM doesn’t have the power to unilaterally remove Mandelson from the Lords. But given it can only be removed via an act of Parliament in government time, Starmer is hardly powerless, indeed he is the only person who can make it happen.

And Labour's justification for denying the WASPI women compensation? Because it appears to think an apology is sufficient.

In reality it's a purely political decision. The votes of WASPI women aren't important enough to it.
The Ombudsman held a detailed investigation & concluded that the govt was guilty of maladministration, the women had suffered injustice & the govt should compensate them.

But the govt has again denied them compensation.
