I’m not sure what the fate of this project is or whether it has been/will be released but the fact that the animator, Xiaoyang Shen, spent seven years on it is nothing short of inspiring. I doubt him and his team will see this, but your work is the stuff dreams are made of.

This is a Chinese animation called 美人鱼的夏天 (Summer of a Mermaid). It’s a personal movie that the creator spent seven years on and is trying to put it in cinemas. I’ll post a link to the trailer here and I’m hoping someone knows how we can support the creator further. movie.douban.com/trailer/3136...

I’ve not been active here because I lost my Dad a few months ago. It was very sudden and to be honest, I still feels fresh. As private as I normally am, I felt it was best to say this given why I made this account and the goals I set for myself. It also helps to say it out loud.

I'll start! I'm Silvi and I do fantasy art. Here are some things I've done, including two weapons inspired by the oceans and seas (and Cthulhu)!
A deadly typhoon blade adorned with Cthulhu-inspired decor. The name of the blade is Blasphemy. Ensnaring Sea: A katana themed with seaweed that can create a cloak that protects the user. The saya is wrapped in seaweed. Character design for a warrior-lady named Bridgette; has alternative outfits with one being a dress and the other sparring gear, her rapier and the signature blue-rose shield she uses. Character sheet for an OC named Erebus, god of love and death in the setting. The character has bronze skin and hair that goes through gradient of dark brown at the top to white at the tips. The character sheet includes, from the left, a view from the back with a mostly opaque robe at his waist-level held up by arms, one hand resting on a sword with a design of spine at its ricasso called Bonemarrow; A full body view of Erebus dressed in a fancy coat with a Bearded vulture at his feet with black and white feathers; A portrait surrounded by wings from the figure below the portrait. The wings are black and gray; a design for a hourglass with a snake wrapped around it. To the right of that, two examples of possible statues to erebus - one lying down with fabric draped over his legs, the other one standing with a sword in hand and in full armor with a long cloak. both statues have one arm in the air, holding up an hourglass. To the right of that, pose of Erebus with arms up, torso stretched upwards as he looks up as well. There is fabric around his waist.
