I’ve had an interesting life.

Two decades in Asia working and building my manufacturing company. Got into crypto early. Running those two ventures and a cattle ranch in Hawaii now.

Very arigato about it all.

You set the house on fire, watched it burn, and then lost your nerve and put it out. You now have a partially burned house. Great job.

I personally have adopted the pronunciation “dodgy” for DOGE. I suggest you do the same.

This article should be read by every American, regardless of political affiliation. It describes a future America that is America in name only, ending the great experiment as a failure.

Sigh.

This is the company that just paid Kash Patel (Feb-2) somewhere between $1-$5 million.

Not even Grok, Musk’s own lauded AI/search tool, agrees with Musk.

Quick question: What would have been the reaction from Republicans if Obama had George Soros come in and take over large parts of the government?

That’s a rhetorical question, of course.

Just a reminder that Biden flew 475 flights with deportees from the U.S. to Columbia and managed to do it without threats or puffery.

That’s one flight every three days. Trump now has two in six days, achieving nothing additional except trashing the relationship.

Inspectors General: “No.”

Trump freed Ross Ulbricht and designated him an international terrorist within the same 24-hour period.

A challenge to all of my friends here.

If you’re a Trump fan, write down and post 3-5 things that you’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t do, that he currently says he will. Hold yourself to this and be honest as time passes about whether he accomplished them if not.

I’m more of an Ethereum guy than a Bitcoin one, although they each have their places.

Just like the first landline phones revolutionized human communication, BTC revolutionized notions of monetary systems. But landlines were likewise limited to making calls from one place to another, nothing more.

I’m one of those crypto “nuts” who’s actually not very nutty at all. I got into Bitcoin in late 2012 and then got very involved in Ethereum from 2016.

I pay my taxes.

I call out scams rather than create or participate in them.

I’m convinced crypto is good for us.

Ask me anything.

Yep, Ethereum solved that problem for itself, but energy consumption at Bitcoin and other proof-of-work protocols is higher than ever.

If energy consumption bothers you, the ultimate solution is to vote with your pocketbook and not use energy-intensive networks, including AI nets.
One pitfall lots of people fell into with crypto that seems to be repeated with AI is basing fundamental objections on temporary problems. If your problem with crypto was the energy impact, did Ethereum switching to proof of stake change your mind? If not, was that actually your issue at all?
