Laura C. Martin's *A History of Tea* was a breezy overview of the life and times of my favorite beverage. A nice book for tea drinkers.

With Zuck killing off Meta Quest to focus on losing even more money on AI and Sony abandoning PSVR2, do you think we'll see another serious attempt at VR any time soon?

My quick review of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy: I... didn't hate it? Some clunky plotting and character exposition dumps, which is a flaw in the era of 8 ep. seasons. Back in the 26 ep era writers could take their time. Well acted & they turned the lights back on. I am looking forward to next week.

I've lost 37 lbs over the past 14 months. My knees are happy with me.

I built something out of bricks for the first time in ages. In honor of killing Nazis, it is a COBI French Resistance Citroën Traction with resistance soldier.

It was clunky, but at least... I didn't hate it? Like you, I'm willing to watch next week. That's a lot more than I could ever say for Discovery.

I am very glad that my Governor is JB Pritzker and not Tim Walz.

I liked this quote: "Your partner should be a propeller, not an anchor."

Dear Amazon, I will never, ever, ever, in 1,000 years ever, have any interest in the full-cast Harry Potter recordings on Audible. That TERF doesn't get a dime out of me.

Whenever I want to watch Doctor Who, it is always the original series that I want to see.

Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

Unbeknownst to me, there is a fiction genre called LitRPG. I read my first and last book in this genre, Ryan Rimmel's *The Mayor of Noobtown*. Pure, poorly written garbage. One of the worst books I didn't throw in the DNF pile. I hated, hated, hated this book. Highly highly unrecommended.

I think @372pages.bsky.social finally broke me. The newest book is the worst thing I've ever committed myself to reading. Worse than Ernest Cline. Worse than Bob Honey. Even worse than Super Constitution. I hope my fellow Mike Nelson can at least make me laugh about it.

I have watched "A Talking Cat!?!" more times than should be healthy.

Same here. I played with LEGO for so many years. They don't seem to care about anything other than AFOL's these days.

100% this! The LEGO Pokémon prices are outrageous. I am glad I have all my MEGA sets. LEGO take take a flying leap

The prices on the the new LEGO Pokémon sets are ridiculous. I am glad I have the MEGA versions, already. LEGO has really lost the script with their smart bricks and screw-the-kids level pricing.

Finished reading *Into the Wild* by Jon Krakauer. It is the sad story of a young man, Chris McCandless, who walked into the Alaskan wilderness and died four months later. A heartfelt piece of investigative journalism. Recommended.
