My favorite book is “Andrew Henry’s Meadow”. I have a dog. My kids tell me interesting things. I like to go fishing. Sometimes I make cool stuff
It seems Bluesky would be a good place for me to leave thoughts for my kids to read after I pass on. Nobody will read it while I live. I just have to learn how to write my thoughts down in rather short paragraphs. Why does Bluesky limit the amount I can type so much?

Just amusing content. In Thailand, there was Korat Air Base near Nakhon Ratchasima. In the mid 1970s, it was 18 hrs by bus from Bangkok. Near the bus station there were many stalls where one could buy food for the journey, including these deeply marinated and grilled chickens.

One of the fb pages I keep tabs on is for the old United States Air Force Security Service. Some of those folks were the most brilliant women and men I ever met. BUT…. Not all of them.

Anybody have any data on the result of Friday’s “dont buy stuff” event? Our little restaurant was dead for lunch, but sorta busy-ish for dinner. A couple people mentioned that they came to support local, which is nice. But overall, business is down.

The third night of serious cold has passed, and the fruits and herbs in the greenhouse are still OK. Today we get a warm up to about 40, and tonight the low will be around 17. Much better :-)

I have been thinking about how “complexity” develops in the universe, and how it might be measured. This paper describes one approach to such a measurement. Once I have some coffee, I will read the paper and think my thinks.
Assembly theory explains and quantifies selection and evolution - Nature
Assembly theory conceptualizes objects as entities defined by their possible formation histories, allowing a unified language for describing selection, evolution and the generation of novelty.

My buddy Ren was asking what kind of fuqqery I have been up to. We have leased a great space for our Thai restaurant, and are beginning to decorate the dining room. I am currently trying to make a digital art representation of a “sky lantern” art piece to create in one corner. WIP

Greenhouse stayed warm last night with diesel heater running on 50% vegetable oil recycled from our fryer. Thai herbs and banana trees are quite happy.

By way of resiliency, we have finished the greenhouse over the back patio. Now, we will have Thai herbs growing for the Thai food truck.

Whoa! Check out this cool rock I found! That reminds me: I’m getting older and I have always wanted a rock tumbler to polish up the cool rocks I find. Anybody got one? Hows it work?

Most of my days are occupied with our family business, Bee’s Thai Kitchen. It is Colorado’s first all solar battery operated food truck.

A couple of years ago I started playing with an old lathe and made a series of coffee cups. I like the way they turned out, and look forward to making more things when my current project is done. Current project is trying to build a restaurant for my family.
