Check again before sewing, pinned in place should look smooth. Remove pins from the flap, sew the remaining zipper. Last step is to add snaps to the flap to make it dissappear. Magic!

Pin the fur along the flap from the top, getting the edges lined up and hidden. Flip it, and pin the remaining half of the zipper from the back, keeping the flap taught and dealing with curving a zipper. 🥓

Trim the edge sharp, and leaving it unfinished. It will lay flat against the flap underneath and nuzzle against the next fur (red)

You raise a good point! I like your suggestion of blocking the ends. Maybe a little tubing adapter for the fan, blow air down it after.

The wires for the muzzle fan! Makes the electronics removable so the head can be washed. The other end is at the back of the neck where the battery and control fob live.

Tubing for wire removal (keeps the head machine washable). Will use the hot wire to cut a perfectly sized to bury the tube under the foam.

Surprisingly not crispy! I was worried about how much it melted so that pieces could be glued back smoothly after. It like a knife cut.
