Book and block 2 for February. Good read. Wish there was a sequel. Not much color in the cover. Coordinating fabric was lack luster. #booksky #quiltsky #booksyblockproject

This book is a work of art. Love it. I plan to use some of the flower meanings to craft a crepe paper flower bouquet that symbolizes this year’s political climate in the USA. 😆 #paperflowers, #booksky

Got the last stitch sewn today. SO much procrastination happened here. Was easy to piece but the free motion quilting took me forever. And then the dreaded binding. I finally found a use for the random wood fence in my yard - photo prop! 😆 #quiltsky

Got a bit of snowfall last night.

A decently mitered corner! A rare sighting in my sewing. 😆 #quiltsky

January 2025 Booksy Block project. The fabrics I picked to coordinate with the book cover were a stretch as I'm trying to use my scraps. I haven't sewn them together yet but wanted to get the block posted since January is long gone! #ritualquiltcompany #booksyblockproject #quiltsky

Hand sewing binding today. A great excuse to snuggle under a quilt and watch some shows, especially after spending an hour clearing snow from the driveway! #quiltsky

My home for 27 years, with family still in Nome. My heart aches for those lost in the crash, those I knew personally. Long nights waiting for news, for the recovery, holding my breath for victims’ names. Witnessing communities come together to support and comfort one another.

First full week at my new job. It's eating into my crafting time but it is good for my mental health. Adjusting to a new town after being in the same one for over 25 years has been a challenge. Here's a photo of some paper flowers I made for the holidays. Stephanotis. #paperflowers, #paperart

I have never tried cross stitch but admire it so much. Love this quilty bee design!
Starting the background on my Quilting Bee by the Blue Flower. Stitched with a DMC conversion on linen.

I gifted this quilt to my best friend and it was really hard to let go. No. I will probably not ever make another one. 😆 Made from scraps. Mostly Anna Maria Horner/Parry and Tula. A few Art Gallery and Elizabeth Harman prints mixed in. Pattern is Wanderer's Wife by Jen Kingwell.

I made this king size quilt for my son for high school graduation, in his school colors. Pattern is Asteria by "Needles in a Hayes Stack". In Greek mythology, Asteria was the Titan goddess of stars. This was a lesson in the importance of accurate and consistent seam allowances!

My cute English Lab. She's the sweetest. Too cold for a walk today so she's claiming my quilt and enjoying the fire.

I'd love to learn how to do something like this. Where to start?
