I think the entire gaming community would be fine with less "quality" if it meant generative AI was axed from the industry as a whole. I mean, look at how many games "run" on UE5 - we clearly stopped caring about quality a long time ago.

I really don't want to shop for much on amazon anymore, but when it comes to project parts I really can't find a good alternative. I need acrylic sheets, but the ones I can get locally are way too big/+$ and I don't have the tools to easily cut them. and those stores have their own issues as well

Looking through some old files, trying to clean things up, and coming across old pay stubs. I'm making almost twice as much as I used to almost 10 years ago, but my checking account is looking about the same. And some people have the nerve to say inflation isn't a thing.

Just got my new bottling supplies and decided to make a new soda to test them out. Not only was it easier to bottle than I thought it would be, but I think I've finally got a orange pineapple soda I'm happy with.

I really need to do more model work and show off more models. That's the only way I'm going to get any better. But between several things going on in my life, it makes it hard to actually find the will to do something I love doing. I wish that made sense. Shouldn't I be more than eager to do it?

Finally getting my workshop set up. no more is it just the corner of a room. Two of the printers are back up, my rather crude painting station is set up. Now I just need to organize my tools and wait for someone to come and collect some old furniture. Wonder if I can pick up any quick print jobs.

I was about to move here, but my housing situation fell through. I feel like I really missed out.

I know the kind of game I want to play, but no one's really made it yet. So I need to work on making it myself, which means I:
1) Won't have the joy of discovering the secrets of it myself
2) Will have to spend time I don't know I have learning how to put all the code together to make it

Finally saying to hell with it and making a bare bones basic version of a table top game I've been wanting to do for a while. A narrative war game where you and your friends control their own squads on the same side as you fight a GM with his own army as they control the battlefield

I'm considering opening up for commissions officially. getting a proper price sheet together and everything. On top of getting some new gear I've been looking at, if I get good enough at this it might finally help me make enough with my day job to move.
