I read 1984 in the 70s, well before it was banned. What are book banners afraid of? That we'll spot trends happening today? In 2025, much of what 1984 says feels current. Our government looks more & more like the one in the book. How much of our true history are we willing to allow to be abolished?

They're calling on us to read & uplift books written by &/or featuring trans, genderqueer, nonbinary, gender nonconforming, & 2Spirit authors & characters.

Still getting used to being on here and continuing to post on the other two big social media sites since that's where most of the store's friends are still. Trying to remember to post here but...

I've got the same username on all sites so I'm not too difficult to find. 😁

Today's one more day in what's been a VERY long week. Only 1453 more. As the person behind the store, I'm having a really hard time right now. /1

I've enjoyed reading this little book about book banning and LGBTQ+ representation today. It's SO important, especially now, that everyone be able to see themselves in the books they read. #ReadFreely #UnitedAgainstBookBans #AuthorsAgainstBookBans

If you are still on IG, post there, too, but I'd love to see #booksky doing this!
